Mambo Sauce
Mambo Sauce
There are three things that you can only get in Washington D.C., The President, Go - Go Music and Mambo Sauce. This electrifying group takes their name from the mystery sauce popular at Chinese/Soul Food carry - outs throughout DC. Just as nobody really knows whatís in Mambo Sauce (the sauce), Mambo Sauceís (the band) musical virtuosity will always keep you guessing as to whatís coming next. Comprised of seven of DCís most proficient, young musicians, Mambo Sauce has created a new form of music, ìPocketî that effectively blends DC Go - Go percussion with well crafted songs, explosive raps and sultry melodies.

Put Go - Go music, Kanye West, No Doubt and Outkast in a blender. Blend until the top pops off, and that might scratch the surface of where Mambo Sauce is going. As Techno, House, Trance and Jungle are all forms of Dance music, and Dub, Dancehall and Ska are all variations of Reggae, "Pocket" is likewise a new, but similar form of Go - Go. By incorporating elements of a variety of music ranging from Latin to Soul, Hip - Hop to Rock into their songs, Mambo Sauce puts their individual stamp on the genre. As the only existing Go - Go band playing all original music at present, Mambo Sauce and their label Red C Records intend to use "Pocket" music, to infiltrate the international music market with the DC Go - Go sound.

Mambo Sauce is currently hard at work on their debut album. Recording in Baltimore at Wright Way Studios (Dru Hill, Mario, Evan Taubenfeld (Guitarist for Avril Lavigne), Fertile Ground, Hezekiah Walker, 2 Live Crew, Crystal Waters) with head engineer/producer, Steve Wright and is due for release in 2009.

This talented, young group of musicians has come together with a burning desire to see Go - Go music make its mark outside of DC. After almost 30 years of being the dominant force in urban music throughout the region, Go - Go's time to become internationally recognized is now, and Mambo Sauce has the drive and the ability to make it happen!

...and you can put that one in your "Pocket"!
Shinobi Ninja
Shinobi Ninja
Formed in a Hell's Kitchen NYC recording studio in early 2008, Shinobi Ninja is the offspring of Singers Dave Aaron and Baby Girl, Guitarists Maniac Mike and Adriano Morez, Drummer Terminator Dave, and DJ Axis. Combining the forces of songwriters, studio musicians, producers, engineers, dancers, battle djs, and a chef, this "Voltron-esque" rock group bound by a party lifestyle and the love of music, creates an original sound with diverse influences of Hip Hop, Punk, Soul, R&B, and Metal. Prior to forming Shinobi Ninja, each of its members had respective careers in the music industry. Dave Aaron and Adriano Morez had been producers and engineers at Progressive Studios, an Eden of music and personalities, which regularly collided with ferocity, blind passion, and the NYPD. Baby Girl, who worked as a singer and dancer for major label artists like Ricky Martin, Diddy, Cassie, and Santogold, was a fixture in the vocal master class held at Progressive by esteemed vocalist, Craig Derry of the Sugarhill Gang. Twin brothers Maniac Mike and Terminator Dave ran The Sound Machine, a recording studio where they produced their projects and the work of other artists. Terminator Dave also worked as a music supervisor by day and as a busy DJ and drummer by night. Dave regularly appeared all over the east coast with DJ Axis, an accomplished battle and club DJ. As fate would have it, Mike's career as a session guitarist and studio engineer eventually led him to work at Progressive Studios, where he was introduced to Dave Aaron, Adriano, and Baby Girl. Soon, Terminator Dave and DJ Axis became regulars at the studio through rehearsal and recording sessions shared by the three engineers. After two years of making a living together and countless nights of debauchery, this group of Hell's Kitchen transplants decided to combine powers and create a force greater than its parts to form the ultimate urban rock supergroup - Shinobi Ninja. Quickly buzzing in NYC for their mega high-energy live performances, the band plays like they're headlining New Year's Eve 2K at MSG, headbanging, stagediving, mosh-pitting, and booty shaking their way through each set. Their forthcoming debut EP is 8 tracks of pure party sing-a-long brilliance. Select tracks have been making heavy rounds on Myspace, Facebook, and GarageBand. With a great response from the New York community and beyond, Shinobi Ninja is taking over the world, one sweaty rock circus at a time!
Kuf Knotz
Kuf Knotz
"Kufie" has been making a name for himself as a member of some of Philly's most cutting-edge alternative rap crews; first as a founding member of the BurnDown All-Stars, and more recently, his own group, hip-hop/soul collective The Hustle. Knotz, a.k.a. Ty Green, is now making his solo career top priority, and with Boombox Logic, he's created a diverse, far-reaching collection that underscores the rapper's eclectic tastes.
Chocolate Milk
Chocolate Milk
Starting off in the quaint city of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, David Patrick and Andrew Aulenbach began making music together in the Summer following their Sophomore year of high school. From that point on, musical fruition was the sole purpose of the young duo's collective efforts. Andrew's engineering capabilities, matched with Dave's blossoming lyrical prowess allowed for a prideful first complete project entitled "Free Your Mind and The Rest Will Follow".

With the addition of long-time friend Justin Davis as the permanent drummer, the now trio gained the name "Chocolate Milk". For the first time, the group had the creative ingenuity and freedom to formulate fresh, inventive instrumental arrangements for Dave to write to. Using this new methodology, the band recorded and released their second full-scale album, "Sounds of the Dairy Section" in April 2009. Critical acclaim inspired the then trio to continue on their creative path.

Upon arriving at Temple University in Fall 2009, it seemed like fate united our Three Musketeers with the necessary additions of hip-hop-motivated bassist Luke Reitz and the resident jazz aficionado, tenor saxophone player Curtis Arnett. The personalities and playing styles of the newly-formed quintet allowed for easy, smooth, and unique creation. Fall semester at Temple gave way to a plethora of live shows, building a substantial fan base, as well as the writing and recording of Chocolate Milk's latest release, "Drink Up Life". This newly-released EP celebrates the proverbial individual's ability to achieve, and in essence "drink up" all that life has to offer.

Chocolate Milk is currently in full effect, searching for venues and willing listeners to share their love for music with.
