BoomBox consists of two versatile producers, DJs, songwriters, multi-instrumentalists and longtime friends Russ Randolph and Zion Rock Godchaux. Together they develop an electronic blend of vintage Rock and Blues made to move dance floors while incorporating their signature Backbeat, Psychedelia and Funky House sounds. Applying a multi-track platform, they are free to create their hybrid style on the fly with a rhythm that moves fans and opens them up to Godchaux and Randolph’s overall vision. Derived from the rich musical history of Muscle Shoals, AL, to the psychedelic rock and underground electronic scenes of the west coast, their unique approach can only be achieved by the blending of sound and culture.
BoomBox’s first release, Visions of Backbeat, contained the breakout song "Stereo" that built the foundation for their rapidly growing fan base. After years of steady touring and honing their sound, they released their sophomore effort, downriverelectric, and was hailed by critics as a progressive follow up effort. BoomBox are continuously working on new releases, using a blend of programming and live instrumentation with both members on drums, Randolph on keys, and Godchaux on guitar, bass and vocals.
Each live show is unique to the venue and the crowd, who are the driving force of the rhythmic BoomBox experience. “It’s all natural, it’s all in real time, and that’s why it’s Rock ‘n’ Roll”, says Godchaux. Traditional set lists are never created prior to shows, instead, BoomBox chooses the music based on the atmosphere, to create a one-of-a-kind experience for fans. Randolph adds, “We just want to go out with no game plan. That way it’s fresh for us, and we can follow the energy of the crowd. We’re down to get down, and we hope that people are down with us.”

Tweed

Spawned out of the fiery depths of the University of Delaware underground, Tweed is the psychedelic combination dream melting jam, funk, electronica, and experimental rock. Guitarist AJ DiBiase and synth master Jon Tomczak bring shredding riffs and groovy vibes, while bassist Paul Braden drops Chernobyl-style nuclear bass-bombs, and drummer Joe Vela meticulously formulates rhythm-induced warfare. The four joined forces in the Fall of 2010 and although young, Tweed’s music inspires and excites, fueled from lyrics provoked by experience and emotion. Their collaboration can take the listeners from multi-layered visions through the psyche to sweaty, raging dance parties driven by their own incessant beat…
Ramona
Born in Antwerp, Belgium I was introduced to the sounds of New Beat in the early 90's. One night my parents took me to Boccacio, a club just outside of Ghent (since I was only 15) and from that night on, I was hooked! The years following, I was fortunate enough to go clubbing at some of Belgium's and Holland's finest…La Rocca, Café d'Anvers , Roxy and It, just to name a few.
On to the US of A in 94 and somehow I always seemed to find the good music that kept me dancing. (or maybe it found me) From the Full Moon parties in LA to the NY club scene to my annual stop at Burning Man, my insatiable appetite for the beats has recently inspired me to embrace my passion and start putting the music together myself and play for people that love to dance too.
I've recently had the honor of opening for and playing with some other DJ's that have helped me tremendously.
Thanks so much to all of you and I must give special thanks to Alfred, Jerry, Harry, Scotty, Dom, Britten, Kirby, Ross, Hal and Blick….much love to all my friends and family that have supported me as well.
I feel very fortunate to be on this path and hope you'll enjoy the beats.
